Centre for Ovarian, Tubal and Peritoneal Cancers

Centre for Uterine, Cervical and Vulvar Cancers

Together with the Centre for Ovarian, Tubal and Peritoneal Cancers, we are the third largest centre in the Czech Republic specialising in all types of gynaecological cancer. Centre for Brain and Spinal Cord Tumours

We are one of nine expert neuro-oncology centres based in the Czech Republic. In collaboration with the University Hospital Brno and St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno, we provide comprehensive care for patients with brain and spinal cord tumours.

Head and Neck Cancer Centre

Our centre provides conservative management of head and neck cancers, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, treatment with targeted agents and immunotherapy. Radiation treatment is performed at the MMCI Photon Centre and can be administered either independently or following a surgery. Treatment with chemotherapy and new anti-cancer drugs is given at the Comprehensive Cancer Care Clinic.

Sarcoma centre

The Sarcoma Centre provides comprehensive treatment for soft tissue sarcomas, including gastrointestinal stromal tumours. We also offer comprehensive treatment of bone tumours with close links to the Musculoskeletal Tumour Board at the Orthopaedic Clinic of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno. We cooperate with specialists across the Czech Republic.

Centre for Neuroendocrine Tumours

We are a unique comprehensive cancer centre specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumours in the Czech Republic. Have you been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour or are you suspected to have this rare type of cancer? Then you are in good hands with us. We are able to ensure that you have the appropriate diagnostic procedures and receive state-of-art treatment specific to your disease.

Thyroid Cancer Centre

Our centre focuses on all three types of malignant neoplasms that can occur in the thyroid gland. We are here for all patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (papillary and follicular carcinomas and Hürthle cell carcinoma) and patients with medullary and rare anaplastic carcinomas that require highly specialized care.

Centre for cancer of unknown primary and other rare malignancies

Our Centre deals with metastatic cancer in which the standard diagnostic procedures have failed to identify the site of original tumour. We also focus on rare cancers that occur in less than 6 individuals per 100,000 persons per year. These tumours require highly specialized multi-professional care with access to latest diagnostic and treatment options.

Centre for Precision Oncology

Cancer research has revealed that tumours from different organs may share the same genetic mutations and, conversely, tumours from the same organ can be fundamentally different. Precision oncology represents an innovative approach to cancer care that ensures the treatment is specifically designed and targeted against each patient's unique form of the disease. We employ a wide range of genetic testing techniques to evaluate specific molecular characteristics of the tumour that help us understand cancer biology and identify the culprit gene(s) responsible for its aggressive behaviour.

Centre for Palliative Medicine and Pain Management

The Centre for Palliative Medicine and Pain Management offers comprehensive care and support to patients and their families coping with advanced cancer. We deliver multi-professional services both to patients receiving palliative cancer treatment as well as to those with very limited or exhausted anti-cancer therapy options.

Robotic Surgery Centre

Robotic surgery has revolutionized operative treatment of cancer in recent years. The Robotic Surgery Centre at MMCI was launched in 2018. Our surgeons use the state-of-the-art Da Vinci Xi robotic system, which helps them to perform complex cancer surgeries.

Centre for cytoreduction and regional chemotherapy

We are one of the few centres in the Czech Republic dedicated to the treatment of peritoneal cancer by combining cytoreductive surgery with intra-abdominal administration of high-dose chemotherapy. Our experienced team provides this highly-specialized procedure also to patients outside the South Moravian Region.
