Care and Services Provided

Care for patients and their loved ones is not only about modern equipment, state-of-the-art procedures, and top-class professionals. Overall care for the patient is also a key part of the treatment.

At MMCI, we offer top care in the fields of nursing, social healthcare, nutrition, and psychology, as well as several additional services aimed at elevating the quality of life during the fight against cancer. These services help improve the course of care and the healing process.

1 Nursing Care

At MMCI, we deliver high-quality nursing care. This care is patient- and caregiver-oriented. Our non-medical healthcare professionals are integral members of multidisciplinary teams in specific areas of patient care. These teams encompass various specialties such as pressure sore prevention, management of slow-healing wounds, post-operative wound care, and support for patients with stomas and catheters. Our primary focus is on respecting human dignity, safeguarding privacy, and ensuring patient safety.

2Nutrition Care

Nutritional therapists at MMCI offer guidance to patients throughout their oncologic illness and cancer care journey. Nutrition plays a crucial role during anti-cancer treatment and is essential for successful outcomes. A well-balanced diet that maintains the patient's nutritional state supports treatment effectiveness, minimizes side effects, promotes faster recovery, and enhances overall quality of life and treatment outcomes.

3Psychologic Care

Cancer patients and caregivers commonly experience psychological changes and stress, which is normal given the circumstances. However, the patient's psychological state can impact their treatment. Therefore, our team of psychologists is prepared to offer support to both the patient and their caregivers as needed.

4Hospital Ombudsman

The hospital ombudsman at MMCI, Mgr. Martin Hájíček, offers assistance to patients, their relatives, and loved ones in resolving issues related to treatment and their stay at the institute. The ombudsman investigates complaints and suggestions regarding the quality of care provided, operational and organizational challenges, and suspicions of unethical behavior among MMCI staff.
