We are one of the few centres in the Czech Republic dedicated to the treatment of peritoneal cancer by combining cytoreductive surgery with intra-abdominal administration of high-dose chemotherapy. Our experienced team provides this highly-specialized procedure also to patients outside the South Moravian Region.

Peritoneal tumour (peritoneal carcinomatosis) is rare but serious disease that affects the lining of abdominal cavity. Patients may often suffer from symptoms caused by mechanical oppression of the intraabdominal organs and accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity (ascites).

Peritoneal tumours suitable for cytoreduction and regional chemotherapy include mainly: peritoneal pseudomyxoma, malignant peritoneal mesothelioma and peritoneal metastases of colorectal, gastric or ovarian cancer.
