South Moravian Comprehensive Cancer Network
Thanks to close cooperation with our network partners, we provide oncology patients throughout the region with high-quality, coordinated care that meets European standards.
1The CCI4EU Project – An EU initiative focused on developing higher-quality oncology care
Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for Europe (CCI4EU) is a European project funded by the Horizon Europe program, which aims to create an interconnected network of oncology centers across Europe.
Thanks to this project, the South Moravian Comprehensive Cancer Network was created, representing a unique regional collaboration between healthcare providers, research institutions, and universities. Its goal is shared responsibility for the quality of care throughout the region, coordination of expertise, and continuous improvement based on data and international recommendations.
2Why CCI4EU is important for oncology patients
CCI4EU is a European project that aims to connect hospitals, universities, and research institutions into functional networks that work together to ensure high-quality, coordinated, and accessible cancer care across Europe. The project helps improve the organization of care for oncology patients and bring it closer to uniform European quality standards. Thanks to the CCI4EU project, a Comprehensive Cancer Network has been established in South Moravia, connecting large centers with regional hospitals. The goal is for every patient, regardless of where they live, to have access to the same high-quality care, modern treatment, and professional support. For patients, this means faster diagnosis, better coordination between doctors, access to modern treatment methods, and a greater chance of participating in clinical trials. The CCI4EU project thus increases the comfort of care and gives patients the assurance that they are being cared for by a whole team of experts across institutions.
3South Moravian Comprehensive Cancer Network

The South Moravian Comprehensive Cancer Network represents cooperation between the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, faculty hospitals, regional hospitals, universities, and research institutions. Together, they create an interconnected system whose main goal is to provide cancer patients with the highest quality, fastest, and best coordinated care regardless of where they are being treated.
Thanks to this network, cooperation between doctors across hospitals is improving, treatment procedures are being unified, and access to modern technologies and clinical research is being strengthened. Patients can thus be sure that even in a regional hospital, they are supported by a whole team of experts and that the care they receive meets the highest European standards.
The Comprehensive Cancer Network also aims to create conditions that will enable it to be accredited as an OECI Comprehensive Cancer Network.
